Kennel Attendant – Part Time, Temporary
The Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) currently seeks energetic kennel attendants to directly assist with maintaining health and wellbeing of the homeless animals surrendered to PARL. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Applicants must be reliable, hard-working, possess a valid driver’s license, and willing submit to a background/reference check.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and clean the league’s kennels and grounds
- Assist in the proper feeding and care of shelter animals
- Work with animal care technicians and volunteers to achieve a clean and pleasant environment for the animals residing at the shelter.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Some basic knowledge of domestic animals (dogs, cats, and other small animals) including handling, behavior, and health.
- Willingness to accept risks involved in working with animals and chemical cleaning agents
Compensation & Hours:
- Position requires a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Pay is $9.00 per hour

Shelter Veterinarians
The Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) seeks veterinarians (DVM or VMD
required) to help us work to reduce pet overpopulation and provide basic
veterinary care to the animals in our care.
Responsibilities Include:
-- Spay / neuter of shelter animals (cats and dogs)
-- Participation in our Spay / Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)
-- Veterinary care for animals in our care
-- Work closely with veterinary technicians, clinic, and kennel staff
Schedule & Compensation
PARL offers highly competitive hourly pay and flexible hours. All work takes place in
PARL's veterinary clinic.
